The Role

As a User Managed Data Specialist, you will focus on Cloud Data Platform (CDP) - as data sourcing and data quality coordinator, you will monitor the timeliness and completeness of data loading into the Cloud. You will be working with Cloud data engineers and business analysts and source file point of contact for resolving any ingestion issues or data quality issues causing the source feeds to fail. 

How you'll contribute

  • BAU process of tracking all source feed files scheduled for loading in Cloud Data Platform and publishing the tracker for transparency to all data users. Chasing data owners for any issues/delays from the agreed template and SLA.
  • First point of contact of CDP data users for any DQ issues for investigation and coordinating resolution with data owners.
  • Identify and review dependencies of source feed file frequency of update vs business requirements from CDP data users and discuss with owners and businesses for alignment.
  • Update of source feed file inventory and schedule of loading into CDP for all data user's transparency.
  • Continuous rationalization of the relevance of source feed file loading into CDP.
  • Act as a change manager between the data owner of the source feed file and BAs in CDP for any file enhancements and cascade to all data users.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have experience in developing reports/dashboards
  • Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus but must be willing to learn SQL
  • Process-centric and keen attention to detail and has an interest in data governance, process improvement and change management
  • With good communication and organization skills
  • Ability to engage and build relationships across different business units and IT groups
