Role Description
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our DTEX InTERCEPT platform. You will work with a talented team of engineers to develop and deploy robust solutions that address the ever-evolving challenges of insider risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will be part of the product engineering team responsible for all things related to the data pipeline, analytics, and APIs.
  • Design, develop and optimize solutions using Elasticsearch/Kibana and OpenSearch/OpenSearch Dashboards.
  • Architect and implement scalable search to support large scale data indexing and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with investigations team and data scientists to understand search requirements, translate them into technical specifications and implement on the platform.
  • Lead efforts to improve search relevance, performance and user experience through tuning, optimization, and experimentation.
  • Design and implement features for the big data analytics platform that is part of the DTEX solution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Qualifications/Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering/science fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch/Kibana or OpenSearch/OpenSearch Dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Proficiency in middleware frameworks that enable a Big Data platform such as Redis, Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow etc.
  • Hands-on experience in data modeling, database design and SQL query optimization on databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of auto-scaling systems using Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  • Knowledge of Django Application Framework a plus.
  • Experience working in startup environments a plus.

Base salary range (SF Bay Area): $150k-$200k.
