The Big Data team at Digital Turbine consumes, stores, manipulates, queries, and leverages at scale - 100B daily events with more than 8Tb of data created by 1Bunique users. We're designing and implementing ground breaking approaches, leveraging cutting-edge technologies in the Big Data world. And we're looking for a senior big data engineer to join this innovative, world-class team.

About the Role:

  • Support the design, build and deployment of infrastructure handling millions of events per second
  • Identify and embrace new technologies and services and serve as a focal point for engineering excellence
  • Conceptualizing and developing architectures for handling hundreds of billions of daily events on a massive scale
  • Setting, defining, and improving software engineering practices and processes
  • Collaborating with other engineering, data science and product teams and being exposed to a wide variety of technologies and work methodologies

About You:

  • A team player, an insightful tech enthusiast
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent), or a veteran of a technological army unit
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably Java/Scala/Python
  • 4+ years with big data tools, such as Spark, Hadoop, Flink
  • Experience with Kafka, NoSQL stores - an advantage
  • Experience with DevOps tasks - an advantage
  • Experience with containers & K8s - an advantage
  • Experience with Apache druid, clickhouse, Pinot - an advantage
  • Sense of ownership for self-learning and development
  • Experience in processing and analyzing large volumes of data
