Summary:

ZipRecruiter is a multi-sided marketplace connecting job seekers and employers. In the role of Decision Scientist, you'll be at the heart of our business, providing business teams with actionable insights, investigating issues, and using data to empower ZipRecruiter’s leadership to make difficult calls. You will be embedded with the SMB Employer team of the Decision Science team, where you will work closely with sales and product teams to solve complex business problems directly related to the growth and success of Ziprecruiter’s network of users, both job seekers and employers.  

Key Focuses:

• Generate business insights from large data sets and develop actionable sales and product monetization strategies based on those insights.
• Collaborate effectively with Sales and Product leadership to turn data insights into action to improve revenue generation and optimize sales processes and operations.
• Define KPIs to track the success of Sales and Product monetization initiative product launches. 
• Turn ambiguous questions into clearly defined analytical problems, and solve those problems using data.
• Lead hypothesis driven experimentation (AB Testing) to optimize monetization via sales or product interventions and make clear and practical recommendations based on AB test results. 
• Communicate data insights to stakeholders and executives through clear and informative data visualizations and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent experience 
• 2+ years of experience in Product or Sales Analytics, Data Science, Decision Science, or Business/Revenue Operations
• 2+ years of professional experience using SQL and data visualization and dashboarding tools
• Experience using python for data wrangling and visualization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AB Testing
• Knowledge of causal inference techniques
• Proficient using python for statistical analysis 
• Background in finance or experience working monetization strategy

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $82,500-120,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
