The Role

As a Data Engineering Test Manager, you will be responsible for driving the overall test program (SIT/UAT) for the development of analytic assets. You will partner with the Enterprise Testing Center of Excellence to drive standards, policies, and automation of all testing assets. However, most of your time will be spent with the Data Engineering development teams and the business analysts as they design new use cases for delivery.

How you'll contribute

• Be responsible for managing the software quality assurance functions across the internal engineering team as well as partnering with the TCOE, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
• Effectively lead a team of software quality assurance and automation engineers through an Agile software development lifecycle across various software teams, platforms, and products.
• Review test strategies, encourage the development of new test strategies, and maintain a continuous improvement environment to improve quality and efficiency.
• Maintain strong communication across departments and divisions to develop needs analysis, requirements, and 
  operational planning.
• Review test plans, test results, risk analysis and release documentation.
• Partner with the Enterprise PMO and Enterprise Testing Center of Excellence to ensure institutional standards are met in the delivery of program deliverables.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or any related course
• Must have 5 years of experience within Data Analytics & BI
• Hands-on experience with developing and using testing frameworks in a data engineering environment including Spark, Python, SQL, Java, Scala, Kafka, etc.
• Strong project delivery toolset experience in open source data integration tools.
• Hands-on technical expertise in Spark, Python, SQL, Java, Scala, Kafka, etc.
• Hands-on experience working with different databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, Blob storage, etc.) 
• Hands-on technical expertise in setting up DevOps / DataOps automation using tools such as Jenkins, Github, etc.
• Hands-on experience working technologies/platforms e.g. Dockers, Containers, Openstack, AWS, Azure, GCP.
