We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Research 2D/3D Anomaly Detection. At BMW we are working towards bringing the next generation of robots into our production plants. Their autonomy and flexibility allow for better scalability and automation of more complex processes.

 

What awaits you?

  • Research in unsupervised 2D/3D anomaly detection for quality inspection.
  • Algorithm development and implementation for AD.
  • Evaluating algorithms on datasets and real use cases in our lab.
  • Contributing to exciting innovation projects in industrial automation.
  • A small, motivated team working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contributing to publications in international conferences or journals.
     

What should you bring along? 

  • Graduate / master studies in computer science, electrical engineering, or related.
  • Experience with Python and PyTorch.
  • Technical foundations in some of the following: machine learning (esp. deep learning), computer vision, anomaly detection, 2d or 3d feature learning.
  • Experience in research environments, such as labs at university.
  • Experience in working with simulation environments, such as Nvidia Omniverse.
  • Having contributed to scientific publications is a plus.
