Summary:

The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is currently recruiting a Project Coordinator for the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor (DAIR), who will provide administrative oversight, and support in the planning, implementation and conduct of both research and special projects/ initiatives identified by research leadership. 

Responsibilities will range from assistance in the planning of new initiatives and product prototypes, the coordination and evaluation of ongoing studies, data analysis and validation of related manuscripts, aid in the supervision of software development and data analysis staff, and the development of presentations and grant materials. The overall focus of the relevant projects will include improving the robustness of neuroscientific experiments and applying state-of-the-art software development and data science practices to improve clinical care. In addition to rolling duties, such as monitoring the status of ongoing projects, new projects will vary substantively in nature depending on priorities set by leadership at a given time, ranging from literature searches and synthesis to research project development and implementation/oversight; as such, general administrative and analytic skillsets are required.

The Project Coordinator will report to the Director of the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor.  This is a non-exempt position in our NYC headquarters, the city of Montreal, QC, or fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively in the development of project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource requirements and deliverables.
  • Understand and support global project goals including participant recruitment and quality assurance.
  • Implement project protocols and operational plans, which are consistent with strategic objectives.
  • Work with DAIR Center and Research Leadership to refine and update project goals and scopes, as well as to ensure proper adherence to clinical and research regulations.
  • Coordinate and participate in the acquisition and analysis of research data. 
  • Provide administrative assistance for research project operations.
  • Supervise Junior Research Assistants when needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Majors in neuroscience psychology, engineering, and computer science preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years research experience in medical, clinical and/or research environment.
  • Programming experience with one or more languages (Python, C++, R, Matlab) required.
  • Experience with successful preparation, submission, and maintenance of IRB protocols, Project/Software Requirements Documents, or Funding Applications.
  • Good knowledge of standard office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
