Job Summary:

 

The Data Analyst provides value-added analyses to the leadership team by leveraging on the understanding of data and existing tools and technology. Creates and maintains reports, developing ad-hoc queries, creating sophisticated and effective custom reports, analyzes data and staff/team performance and works with leadership team to optimize results. 

Essential Functions:

  • Create and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports using various data sources, including New Mexico (WCOS) and Laserfishe to measure staff and team performance.
  • Conduct in-depth, real time data/trend analysis of monthly and quarterly reports and provide recommendations to leadership team.
  • Closely monitor and report progress of ongoing performance to leadership team and make recommendations for improvements to optimize results and achieve targets in the most efficient and timely manner.
  • Evaluate applications and data entered in the WCOS system.
  • Assist with general entries into the WCOS system.
  • Work closely with Career Coaches to assure accurate and timely entries into WCOS.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all reporting.
  • Adhere to company confidentiality policies.

Other Functions:

  • Travel to attend meetings, training, and other activities.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associate degree (minimum) in Data & Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative disciplinerequired along with 3 years related experience. One additional year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.
  • Strong analytical, mathematic and PC skills (advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, advanced sorting, VLOOKUP, advanced functions, etc.) and experience managing data sources to create functional analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including visual presentation of data using charts and graphs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.

Preferred:

  • Experience with database management systems, WCOS and Laserfishe
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal workforce rules, regulations, and policies.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.
  • While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment.
  • Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards.
