Full Job Description

One of the many challenges that comes with machine learning is the ability to build visual tools that help engineers become aware of, track, and analyze the behaviors of models in a production environment. In this internship, you will gain first hand experience with designing and implementing dashboards that will display a variety of information from machine learning pipelines. You will not only enhance your web development skills, but you will also gain knowledge on machine learning in production as well as the different metrics that are used to monitor their efficacy.

Essential Functions:

• Work with a team of academics and ML experts that will develop, train, deploy, and improve NLP ML models
• Work with machine learning engineers to create visual aids for models in deployment
• Attend occasional meetings and present results to ML team

Requirements

Required skills/experience:

• Strong understanding of the DOM and its relationship with HTML and CSS
• Experience with at least one web development framework such as vue, react, or angular
• Experience with developing basic web applications with Javascript or Python
• Familiarity with Cloud Engineering principles on Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Familiarity with the basic principles of machine learning

Recommended or preferred skills/experience:

• Experience deploying web applications within GCP
• Experience developing basic ML models
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing and language modeling concepts
• Familiarity with MLOps and Pipelining tools such as MLflow, Airflow, Luigi
