What You Will Be Doing

  • Evaluate and/or qualify site host opportunities based on program goals, direction from management or direction from funding partners
  • Engage with large, multi-site property owners and businesses to assess and pitch complex charging projects at various properties
  • Identify locations and target properties for high-speed electric vehicle charging sites on highway corridors and metropolitan areas.
  • Qualify and report on market parameters such utility availability, traffic counts, regional benefit, electric vehicle travel feasibility.
  • Analyze potential charging locations and forecast driver utilization levels by leveraging existing data from the ChargePoint network, understanding of the use case and business dynamics at the site, nearby charging alternatives, local/regional dynamics, traffic patterns and other geospatial information related to the site.
  • Track and process Incentive Program requests through our database system
  • Generate reports on site evaluations performed, volume of analyses performed by team, win rate to site hosts, etc.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure data is as up to date and accurate as possible.
  • Improve processes to enhance database value and marketability.
  • Validate data integrity and provide sourcing references.
  • Record and track milestones to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner in multiple proprietary software's.
  • Create clear documentation of interactions/activities to-date and recommendations for next stage.
  • Assist with the continual improvement and delivery of strong day-to-day processes and systems for lead generation.
  • Evaluate site host properties for the proper placement of EV chargers, considering factors such as site host preferences, where electricity is distributed onto the property, how close electrical supply is to areas under consideration for EV charger installation, availability of enough 3 phase power needed for product installation, safety, driver experience, accessibility requirements etc.
  • Coordinate with team and perform site walks to guide cost effective and expedient site builds.
  • Analyze financial models and work with customers or potential site hosts to clearly articulate the business case or impacts of owning or hosting fast chargers at their sites.
  • Analyzes operational data and recommends electric vehicle operational levers to create profitable business opportunities for clients.
  • Record and track milestones to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • This role may require up to 25% travel.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • You have a passion for vehicle electrification with a good knowledge of the automotive industry and electric vehicle charging dynamics.
  • You have a proven track record of closing deals with both small business owners and large, multinational properties.
  • You have the ability to work remotely, effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
  • A diligent reporter that takes time to document activities with a proficiency using tracking tools on the SalesForce.com platform and other project management tools.
  • Proven ability to converse with and persuade stakeholders at all levels of management, including C-suite
  • You have a strong financial background and are comfortable working with customers to clearly articulate the business case or impacts of hosting fast chargers at their sites
  • You are comfortable evaluating site host properties for the proper placement of EV chargers, considering factors such as site host preferences, where electricity is distributed onto the property, how close electrical supply is to areas under consideration for EV charger installation, availability of enough 3- phase power needed for product installation, safety, driver experience, accessibility requirements etc.
  • You are excellent communicator and can converse with all management levels, both internally and externally, including site hosts, construction contractors, municipalities, and electric utilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales and program management, preferably in electrical and civil infrastructure deployment on commercial properties or related infrastructure deployment
  • Bachelors degree is required. 
  • Proven track record of closing deals with both small business owners and large, multinational properties
  • Keen understanding of electrical power consumption, construction drawings, and permit packages
  • Ability to work remotely, effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
  • Proven ability to converse with and persuade stakeholders at all levels of management, including C-suite
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to dive deep into decisions to understand economic impacts and ROI as well as market and competitive implications.
  • Outstanding presentation, oral, and written communications skills, and sales polish, with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally
  • Detailed tracking, reporting, and managing capabilities
