Database & ETL Administrator

We are looking for a Database & ETL Administrator who will provide support to the Qualco Group of Companies.

Reporting to the Senior IT Director this role within the Application Support Team will help support databases across the business. Initially focused on supporting the teams building several key data warehouses for the business, this role will evolve over time to support multiple databases across the Qualco Group of companies.

• Participate in defining & maintaining the logical & physical designs of the databases;
• Participate in the design & maintaining of the key ETL packages for the data warehouses;
• Establish the needs of users and monitor user access & security;
• Monitor performance and data integrity;
• Monitor & Maintain the SQL Scheduler;
• Consider both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users;
• Support installation and testing of new versions of the database management system and applications using the database;
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to Data Security policies;
• Assist with creating written database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
• Control access permissions & privileges;
• Develop, manage and test back-up & recovery plans both for every day & disaster recovery purposes;
• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly;
• Carry out capacity planning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years MS SQL Server DBA experience
• Minimum of 2 years MS SSIS experience
• Demonstratable competence in MS SQL Server DBA skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek & English
• Beneficial skills:
