About the Role:

Demandbase is seeking creative and highly motivated data analyst intern with expertise in translating customers complex business challenges into actionable data solutions. You will get to work with enormous datasets containing millions of records. You will get an opportunity to work alongside a great team of data engineers and research analysts to evaluate data and implement smarter techniques to validate, analyze and improve data quality. You will use your analytical, statistical and problem solving skills in a fast-paced agile environment to push the data quality to new levels.

What you'll be doing:

  • Use analytical and statistical skills like SQL, R, Python and Automation tools (desirable) to analyze data and report metrics
  • Own, assess and improve quality, accuracy and relevance of data; Find errors with analysis that cannot be easily found by hand
  • Identify and escalate areas for improvement and best practice from measurement or evaluations results
  • Work towards smart and intelligent algorithms for features with a data input
  • Participate in the design, implementation and review of content modeling, content conversion and content use
  • Investigate and facilitate resolution of data issues; provide impact assessment to support prioritization of fixes and enhancements

What we're looking for:

  • Confident and articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others in small, high-performance teams

Skills and Education:

  • Strong in editorial analysis and quality assurance with good business acumen
  • Good understanding of extraction and purification of data
  • Automation skills and certifications
  • Basic understanding of software/Agile development methodology
  • Experience in Statistical analysis of data

Experience:

  • 0-1 year of experience in data querying, manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with SQL and working on databases
  • Hands on experience working with large data sets, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation
  • Experience in using tools like SAS, R, Excel Advanced toolkit
  • Proven experience in data analytics/reporting. Should have some exposure to visualization tools
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to think strategically and logically
