Summary:
We are now looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data asset and data pipeline, as well as building new systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret.
The ideal candidate is an experienced with big data pipelines and a natural data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

Requirements
- Have a 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or you are in the process of achieving one).
- Have some programming experience with Scala/Java/Python and SQL and are familiar with the principles of software engineering and data analytics.
- Be excited to try new technologies and develop your technical skills.
- Have know-how of designing and interacting with databases (SQL/NoSql).
- Have experience with AWS-based database systems.
- Be familiar with GIT and release engineering strategies.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Optimizing and improving existing data pipelines
- Building new systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information.
- Support software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives
- Participate in all phases of software development including concept, design, prototyping, and production release
- Work directly with non-technical associates to understand business requirements
