iland is looking for an experienced Product Manager with demonstrable Data Center & Connectivity experience to join our team. The DC & Connectivity Product Manager is responsible for product planning, product management, strategy and roadmap for iland’s secure co-location, network, transport services, and connectivity portfolio in partnership with other cross functional teams by understanding business and technical aspects of the products, user requirements, trends, competitive landscape and refining the balance between business needs and product/technology delivery. This is a full-time position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Create product requirements for the Data Center & Connectivity Product Line by synthesizing customer input, market analysis, business cases, pricing analysis and vendor roadmaps
  • Work closely with engineering, development, marketing, sales, legal, business operations, and support teams to deliver on new service definition, market positioning, pricing, sales support, channel enablement, procurement, service delivery and daily operations
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to define cost and pricing structures, by leveraging deep knowledge of BOMs, and third party hardware and software structures and pricing schemes
  • Oversee the release of products and solutions through the Product Development Lifecycle
  • Create business cases to help drive strategy and roadmap to accelerate the adoption of iland’s offerings such as co-location, cross-connects, point-to-point and IP transit solutions, SD-WAN, DIA, and other Data Center and Connectivity solutions
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Connectivity and Data Center solutions for both internal teams and external stakeholders like analysts and channel partners
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable of current and future technology trends and collaborate with partners, customers, and sales to identify ways to improve our portfolio
  • Track and analyze KPIs and product metrics against company-wide goals to determine product success and whether objectives were met
  • Lead the product documentation efforts by updating external and internal documentation and collaborating with the enablement teams
  • Document win/loss analysis
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related study
  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience on Data Centers, Internet Service Providers and Carriers, or similar
  • Deep understanding of network, transport and data center infrastructure such as co-location, cross-connects, fiber, MPLS, SD-WAN, P2P, and DIA
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols and solutions, and LAN/WAN concepts
  • Experience interacting with customers in the IT industry, such as SMB, MSPs, Enterprise IT, co-location companies and hyper-scalers
  • Experience with networking and switching infrastructure vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto and similar technologies
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse set of teams and roles
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision and highly motivated to operate in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines

Preferred Skills

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:

  • Data Center certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/NJCIP-DC or similar
  • General knowledge of Compliance impact to cloud products is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in Issue & Project Tracking Software (Atlassian Jira preferrably), its configuration, dashboards, navigation and use
  • Good listener with low ego
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to keep multiple groups on the same page
  • Organized and detail oriented
