Carrier Data Operations Analyst

The Carrier Insights and Operations team delivers strategy, operations, and technology to wow customers with each interaction. Each team member is a true owner and contributes to highly impactful business initiatives every day. 

As a member of the team, you will provide data-driven solutions to improve processes across all parts of our health insurance business. This role will focus on providing data-driven insights for internal initiatives, creating and maintaining the consistent and scalable use of our internal carrier data engine, which improves the speed and accuracy of service delivery for our customers. 

You’ll work to execute on Gusto’s mission by using all data and tools available to identify high leverage improvements that can be made to the customer experience. You’ll drive upstream solutions in the product, and you’ll collaborate with our cross-functional partners to ensure our carrier data is best serving the needs of our internal and external customers.

What it is like to Work with Gusto

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Improve the use of and maintain carrier data of all types
  • Contribute to long-term strategic projects to benefit teams across Gusto 
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners on operational efficiencies related to carrier data
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects across Growth, Product, and Customer Experience teams
  • Hypothesis-driven problem solving to drive our business
  • Develop and manage project plans for cross-functional initiatives
  • Provide business insights and recommendations based on data that will drive our strategy
  • Build and implement scalable processes and service designs that complement our software capabilities

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 2+ years experience in strategy, operations, product or a similar role
  • Analytical mindset and expertise
  • Results focused person that is willing to dive into the details to ensure tools operate as intended
  • Deep empathy and obsession for delivering an amazing customer experience and for making things more efficient
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to convert data into actionable insights
  • Creative problem solving skills.  You combine depth of knowledge of software and creativity to deliver easy to use tools
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment, and can easily juggle multiple priorities and projects
  • Proficiency with Excel

  • SQL experience a bonus

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $66,000/yr - $81,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
