Senior DevOps Engineer - Data Engineering

About the Role:
Gone are the days of colourless tasks and idle work routines. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in the Gojek Data Engineering team. With the knowledge of managing and operating highly scalable distributed systems in the cloud, you will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure as code, standardising operational tools, and evolving the data infrastructure to be more secure, scalable, and resilient. Your efforts will directly improve the productivity of the engineers, and bring observability and reliability to the system. What You Will Do

• Analyse, design, and build tools and infrastructure frameworks that enable product engineers to improve the quality and reliability of their services.
• Responsible for continuously improving Data Infrastructure and standardising operational tools/procedures across transport. 
• Work on making infrastructure highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant using Containers Orchestration, API Gateways, CI/CD components & Observability stacks.  
• Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively across distributed teams in a global environment.
• Support and troubleshoot product and infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Help automate operations and processes.

What You Will Need

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience running IaaS.
• Excellent bash and scripting fundamentals, and hands-on with scripting in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Golang.
• Deep knowledge of Linux as a production environment, monitoring and logging (Prometheus, influxDB, Grafana, and ELK), container technologies (Docker), Infrastructure as code (Terraform), Kafka, RabbitMQ, Relational and non-relational databases.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of distributed system fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot issues in a larger distributed infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure (GCP).
• Working knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, networking, internet routing, and load balancing.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, deployment patterns and relevant toolsets.

• Good experience with Golang
• Experience with JVM
