Job Duties:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and documenting technical requirements for data flows between disparate operational systems to our data warehouse
  • Assist in end-to-end development of the ETL process as well as build data models and define, analyze, build, unit test and maintain new and existing software applications to support business requirements
  • Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using primarily ETL tools
  • Explore and learn the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency
  • Investigate and resolve data related issues and provide support and troubleshooting expertise

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science, or related technical degree and/or experience
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in ETL Tools (Talend is a plus, but not required), including loading data into a database and generating outbound files using an ETL tool
  • Knowledge of Python, especially around data frames and pandas
  • Solid experience with SQL queries, including various SQL commands
  • Experience writing Stored Procedures, Materialized Views and Views
  • Good knowledge about Bitbucket, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience and understanding of design and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions within a data warehouse
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, and a passion for a role working in a cloud data warehouse
  • Knowledge on cloud data warehouse solutions (examples - Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, etc.)
  • Expertise and understanding of integration of cloud data warehouse solutions with other data processing and reporting technologies
  • Possess understanding of BI concepts and be familiar with relational or multi-dimensional modeling concepts
  • Understanding of RDBMS best practices and performance tuning techniques
  • Knowledge of Structured and Unstructured data

It would be nice if you had...

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of Java or JavaScript
  • Hands on experience on AWS Services – S3, CloudWatch, EC2, App Flow, Jenkins, and Salesforce
