The Data Quality & Governance Team (DQ&G) is an internal audit team accountable for People/HR Data accuracy, and the Nielsen People Data Quality and Governance Policy driving principles and practices for the effective management of Nielsen’s associate data in accordance with local laws and GDPR. The Global People Data Analyst reports to the Director, People Data Quality and Governance with dotted line accountabilities to the Manager, Global People Data and Metrics.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Weekly global audit program proactively identifying People Data defects of Global Rules, partnering with the People Teams, DQ&G Regional Data Leads, and Global TCS HR Operations to ensure rectification and Root Cause Analysis
  • Regular global audit checks verifying proper consistent usage of data fields and selection codes; push out the rectification and gap closure
  • Participate with metrics and Q-Score dashboards
  • Initiate and bring awareness to gaps in systems, processes, training, etc. as it relates to People Data. Participate in solutioning as needed
  • Form and maintain partnerships with other Businesses within Nielsen that own aspects of People Data, i.e. Finance, Real Estate, Payroll, etc. to ensure alignment of rules, processes, and People Data elements
  • Drive resolving global and medium-scale issues as it relates to People Data 
  • Support global projects & initiatives such as: Implementation of new guidelines, processes, and procedures; Acquisitions/Divestitures; Restructuring; Merit/Bonus
  • In partnership with Stakeholders, drive updates and creation of a knowledge base information, online content for People Team, and other documentation for system, process, and data management policies and practices
  • Conceptualize and generate audit output templates, dashboards, metrics, and other documentation as needed
  • Grow to be a Subject Matter Expert with our People Data and gain knowledge of People/HR Privacy Policies Globally

  • PROCESS GOVERNANCE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with People teams to ensure the establishment of global data definitions, uses, and standards  
  • Ensure adherence to the Nielsen People Data Quality and Governance Policy
  • Educate managers, employees, and People team members on Policy and other areas as needed to promote data accuracy 
  • Advise on process & system improvements that would improve quality and efficiency
  • Ad hoc Global audit checks
  • Continually assess new audit strategies and tools, and take action as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of HR systems experience, SAP preferred
  • Experience creating HRIS reports and audit analysis
  • Experience with the creation of data audit templates, scorecards, and other needed documentation or systems
  • Experience with People/HR Data privacy concepts; preferably laws
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Builds consensus and promotes the exchange of information among team members
  • Ability to implement changes to current practices and processes
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user efficiency and simplification 
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and quickly adapt to change
