💼 About this position

Responsibilities

• Bring the latest advancements in AI and search technologies in terms of quality, performance and scalability into the Jina ecosystem;
• You will be expected to contribute in all different projects of Jina;
• Develop and maintain Neural-Search solutions using Jina stack;
• Collaborate closely with the community and a multi-functional team of professional Software and DevOps Engineers as well as Developer Relations.
• Share knowledge, skills and experience openly with our smart, enthusiastic and knowledge-hungry Junior Engineers.

Required Qualifications

• 5y+ industry experience in bringing machine learning into production;
• 5y+ Python experience;
• Passionate about engineering and system design and search technologies;
• Maintained an ML-powered product in production for at least one year;
• Hands-on experience in scaling ML-powered products in production;
• Good understanding of the mainstream deep learning models from multiple domains: Computer Vision, NLP, Reinforcement Learning, model optimization, etc;
• 1y+ experience in symbolic search systems like Elasticsearch or Solr;
• Contributed to open-source projects, familiar with the agile software development process, CI/CD workflow, ticket management, code-review, version control, etc;
• Hands-on experience with Cloud-Native techniques. Good understanding of web services and modern software technologies.
