Data Science Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team of data analytics experts. The right person for the job will apply their exhaustive knowledge of project management practices to maintain excellent communication across the team while finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects and processes. They will inspire and support the team in transforming insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.

• Leading analytics projects, delivering quality analytics insights within agreed budget and time frame, managing the expectations of the client and coaching members of the delivery team.
• Designing and developing analytics approaches to solve the client’s business challenge.
• Providing guidance and support to the client in implementing the outcomes of an analysis.
• Actively thinking with clients about business strategies and the next steps.
• Signalling the needs of the clients by preparing business use case and translating these into projects.
• Prepare budget based on scope of work, resource requirements and estimated delivery timelines.
• Provide project updates on a frequent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress.
• Help coach and develop junior colleagues in the D&A team, also outside of the context of a project.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related experience.
• Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
• Very good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills are essential in order to motivate different groups of people to fulfil their responsibilities within a given time frame.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Refined written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• You are comfortable working in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and analytical tools ranging from databases (e.g. SQL, BigQuery, noSQL) to programming languages (e.g. R, Python), and from data visualization (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) to machine learning is good to have.
• PMP or Agile Project Management certification is preferred.
  
• Prior experience in managing/ executing technology/ analytics project is a plus.
