Job Summary

Your skills will be useful in projects in which we support banks in new and existing systems and regulatory bodies to identify and stop or prevent money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes. This opportunity as a financial crime data analyst involves analyzing the current setup of the banking systems and data models in various financial institutions and, more importantly, improving them. You will support client engagements and project delivery, especially in the role of a data analyst and data engineer capable of quickly understanding data structures, problems, risks, performing data analysis, and preparing data pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience as a data analyst, data engineer in a financial institution or fin-tech/banking related project
• Excellent mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
• Ability to analyze and assess existing systems and databases and provide software solution recommendations
• Ability to report data results and related conclusions to clients
• SQL, Python or other programming language knowledge to perform data assessments and exploratory analysis
• Data quality assessment frameworks and tools
• Dashboarding application experience and data visualization (e.g. Tableau, PowerBi, etc.)
• Experience with ETL processes
• Willingness to learn, show initiative and be challenged
• A confident communicator and strong team member
• Excellent English language skills
• German Language is an advantage

Also, it will be great if you have:

• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
• Consistency in the application of standards and processes
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
• Experience in transactions screening and data analysis within financial crime related projects
