We are looking for a Big Data Manager to join our team. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a geographically distributed data integration team in multiple time zones
  • Ensure C[I]'s data platform scales effectively by making informed trade-offs around security, reliability, latency, cost, and many other competing constraints
  • Support definition, design, orchestration and lead the implementation of best-of-breed data, analytics and artificial intelligence architecture strategies and solutions that resolve key transformational business problems and challenges, establishing architecture transformation roadmaps aligned with our clients expectations, and charting customer journeys from the current state to the “to-be” target environment.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements; produce development estimates
  • Troubleshoot and support existing data integration processes; deliver fixes and optimizations where appropriate
  • Help prioritize work for the team 
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, career development, and performance management to a diverse group of engineers

Requirements

  • Be passionate about bringing data together in a scalable manner to answer business questions and extract meaningful business insights through collaboration with Business Intelligence Engineers,  Software Development Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • Manage competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience building secure, highly-scalable, reliable, and performant big data platforms to consume, integrate and analyze complex data using a variety of open-source platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with cloud computing infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP) and considerations for scalable, distributed systems
  • Strong leadership qualities, great judgment, clear communication skills, and a track record of delivering resilient production ready products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to solve particular business problems.
  • Experience and understanding of architecting, designing and operationalization of large scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
  • Experience architecting and implementing event driven systems
