Business Data Analyst - Consultant

You will join our carrier department in the Amsterdam office and will report to the Strategy & Analytics manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an business data analyst with analytics and project management resourcefulness to support and drive our carrier strategy. We shape sennder’s carrier operations strategy, create processes and develop tools to achieve our business goals. We not only coordinate local carrier operations teams across sennder’s seven international markets but also collaborate with a wide range of other departments on cross-functional projects. We steer innovation in our department to continuously improve the way we operate and revolutionize our industry.

Our new teammate needs to be passionate about driving projects & analytics with a business impact, democratizing data, challenging the status quo and empowering the team through valuable insights—someone who understands and speaks data, operations and strategy equally well. You will be a trusted partner to program managers and relied upon building analytical products as well as design processes to tackle our challenges. Join us on the ground floor and help us build the future of freight!

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…

• Report to the Strategy & Analytics manager, you will be responsible for driving and supporting various projects to solve multi-layered problems
• Proactively identify areas of improvement for business and contribute to the development of the strategic roadmap
• Develop a deep understanding of our operational processes and the industry by performing and supporting a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
• Do hands-on data wrangling and analytics to use data as a key driver
• Take over reporting tasks across a wide variety of cross-functional topics and help to continue developing the underlying KPIs and processes
• Work closely with various colleagues in our Product/Tech organization to assist in cross-departmental projects

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE…

• Experience in the consulting or analytical role, preferably within tech, management consulting, investment banking or logistics
• Advanced Excel/Google sheets skills - you’re the go-to person in your team for coming up with a smart solution in Excel (SQL knowledge is a plus)
• Experience in reporting, data visualization, passion for leveraging data to influence decisions (Looker experience is a plus)
• Ability to prioritize efficiently in a multi-project, high-paced, start-up environment as well as manage highly diverse stakeholder groups
• Strong organization & project management skills and ability to structure a project from idea to design
• Excellent English language skills
