About the Role

The Decision Science team drives strategy across the company through predictive analytics, testing, and optimization. We work on a wide variety of problems by proactively finding opportunities. We drive product prioritization and advise business strategy by developing a deep understanding of our users and clients. The Decision Science team is a partner to our department leaders and executive team to drive sound data-based decision-making across the Product, Marketing, and Sales teams. We define cross-functional initiatives and drive execution.

This Senior Manager will lead the Jobs Decision Science team and work with the Product teams (Job Search, Jobs UX, Jobs Marketplace) as well as our sister company Indeed to drive innovation for our users. 

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Consumer Product Managers to provide analytical and technical thought leadership for critical initiatives. Define roadmaps for the team and support key business priorities.
  • Lead a small and efficient team of 3-5 direct reports. 
  • Drive a deep and comprehensive understanding of our users and their engagement across various products, channels, geographies, platforms etc for our Jobs business
  • Create outlier detection algorithms, and root cause analysis to aid the investigation of critical metrics.
  • Partner with Indeed’s data team to ensure parity in data and metrics.
  • Partner with the Data engineering team to design Jobs data infrastructure and dashboards.
What You’ll Bring
  • A commitment to add to our culture of DEI.
  • 5+ years of quantitative experience, ideally for a consumer Internet company.
  • 3+ years of running and managing a team of data scientists and analysts.
  • Degree in areas such as Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.
  • Proven record of successfully leading and developing partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven record to partner with business customers and product managers to define roadmaps.
  • Strong sense of ownership and taking initiative while empowering others to do the same.
  • Strong applied analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with large data sets, modeling, statistics, A/B & multivariate testing.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range*:  $210,100 - $315,200

*Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.

Annual Bonus Target**: 15%

**Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews
