  • Nurture, grow and mentor a team of data engineers and support their professional and personal development.
  • Mentor, advise, and work collaboratively within the Business Data and Development group, with other development teams, and with all other business teams of the company
  • Continuously learn and follow new technologies both for personal growth and to ensure we are making the most informed technology choices possible

  • Interface with engineers, product managers, and product analysts to understand data needs
  • Support existing processes running in production.

Here is what is needed:

  • Be a people manager before anything else - "Technology doesn't change the world, people do".
  • At least 1 year of engineering management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering (or 4+ years as a backend engineer), with a track record of delivering data and analytics solutions supporting technical, business and executive stakeholders.

  • Thoroughness and wide-perspective  - you develop efficient, clean, readable, testable code, and you consider all aspects of every feature (security, robustness, monitoring and alerting, efficiency & cost, etc). You control all the details but you don’t miss the “Big Picture”.
  • Ability to work (and learn) autonomously and self-direct workload.
  • Intellectually curious. You are not satisfied with the status-quo and are always thinking about what is next.
