The Senior Data Engineer II will be a critical member of the Strategy Implementation team within the Data & Advanced Analytics Team.  This individual will be responsible for identifying, building, testing and implementing new proprietary attributes from new and existing data sources through collaboration with the business.  The candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure to support the Strategy Implementation team’s testing and validation efforts.  This will include management of key projects and the ability to work on multiple initiatives efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Build upon our suite of proprietary attributes from new or existing data sources to move the business forward
• Familiarize and work with application, bureau, web, third party and alternative data sources to mine new insightful data attributes that are actionable by the strategy teams
• Work with cross-functional teams of business strategy analysts and data scientists to identify ways to inject new data into existing strategies to optimize targeting, underwriting, pricing, customer services, fraud, and verification strategies.
• Explore new methods of data discovery, attribute engineering, testing and validation
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data availability, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. 
• Develop repeatable and scalable data quality audits to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, or quantitative major required
• Previous experience working with credit bureau data is preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in Python including experience with numpy and pandas
• 2+ years’ experience in Advanced SQL knowledge including relational database concepts, multi-join queries, functions and stored procedures
• Javascript and PySpark is a plus
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong self-discipline for organized code and file versioning
• Passionate about reducing manual or repetitive work when designing and building tools used by internal colleagues

In addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Base Salary $100,000 - $135,000 annual bonus target 20% of base salary.
