Insight Analyst

Now we're looking for people to join our growing team and support our customer base which has tripled in the last 7 months.

In this role, the Insights Analyst serves as the subject matter expert to fulfil data-driven decision-making demands. As a successful candidate, you must be able to roll up your sleeves and work directly with large and complex datasets. You will continuously evolve business reporting, conduct data analysis, build self-service reporting and analytical tools, and deliver business insights in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity.

Requirements

What you will be doing:

• Experience translating data into action (applied research, marketing, consulting, or related field)
• Conduct data analysis to solve business problems using statistical and/or machine learning models
• Championing a test and learn approach with stakeholders, helping to define testing roadmaps, structuring A/B and multivariate tests, then drawing insight and recommendations from results.
• Working with business (Marketing, Customer Research, Market Intelligence) to enhance our knowledge of the customer and combine insight into one aligned story for the business.
• Experience with statistical analysis, regression modelling and forecasting, data mining and financial analysis, and delivering value-added insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency in relational databases (Redshift, BigQuery, RDS, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and SQL for querying and extracting data - Proficiency with SQL and programming languages with a focus on data analytics (Python, R, etc.)
• Expertise in data visualization software (Quick Sight, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.) for effective data presentation
• Creative and analytical thinking to generate interesting approaches to answering business questions
• Effectively use data to make strategic business decisions and generate the next best actions
• Strong and effective written and oral communication to clearly convey data findings Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Preferred:
• At least 3+ years of work experience as an Insights Analyst - Proficiency in different types of databases (relational vs. non-relational, etc.) and their relevant use cases
• Experience working with Cloud Computing - Experience in agile product management
• Experience in deploying artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) models into production

Candidate profile

• As a data-driven person ability to draw a clear and relevant conclusion that can be presented and understood by non-analytical audiences
• You’ll work with stakeholders across the business to help them understand the So Energy customer better and the teams analytical needs; allowing you to make suggestions for strategic testing and changes and see your findings being implemented for a better experience for the customer.
• Able to prioritize work and negotiate a delivery timeline with senior stakeholders
