Job summary

The ML Marketplace allows customers to accelerate ML projects by leveraging third-party pre-trained models or algorithms. Customers can use the AWS Marketplace to find, subscribe to, and use these ML solutions, alongside their third-party software, data, and services.
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer who has a passion to help customers. They love to identify and solve customer pain points, and build quality product. They have worked on technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment. They can design distributed system system at scale and extensive experience working on web services and protocols.
Work/Life Balance
We understand that sometimes you need to work from home. Our team is co-located in the Seattle and New York office and we work from home as needed for a doctor’s appointments, to take our kids to school, pick them up, and do the things that can’t be done from the office.
This position involves periodic on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged, so we build our systems fault tolerant and root cause problems so we’re not paged for the same issue twice.

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of end to end Java development experience. Experience working in designing architectures and frameworks in an ambiguous environment is highly desired.
