Working as a member of Weave’s Data and Business Systems team, the Data Engineer will gain an understanding of both business and technical requirements in order to drive value for internal Weave stakeholders.  Working collaboratively with internal process owners, the main deliverables will be scalable and sustainable data solutions that drive business growth and efficiency.

• This is a hybrid work schedule (remote/in-office) reporting to the Sr. Director of Data and Business Systems. 

What You Will Own

• Research and properly evaluate sources of data to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability.
• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
• Developing strategies for data acquisition.
• Optimize new and current data pipelines.
• Create data pipelines to efficiently acquire data from various business systems. 
• Bridge the gap between business strategy and data architecture.
• Design and implement cross system data integrations.
• Collaborating with decision-makers from different functional areas (sales, marketing, finance, etc.) to determine current and future needs.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

• Proven experience as a data architect, ETL engineer or data engineer.  
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to guide an audience through clear, concise communication and decision making.
• Ability to demonstrate creative problem solving and independently generate solutions using analytical skills and business knowledge.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to varied requirements.

What Will Make Us Love You 

• Experience with Snowflake, data build tool and/or Google Cloud Platform.
