Our team combines expertise in healthcare, data science and technology to improve the health and well-being of our communities. We are developing the infrastructure and solutions to harness the profusion of health information for good. Our data-driven solutions span three primary areas: research, care and innovation. Programs include Project Baseline - our research initiative to increase participation and evidence generation in clinical research; Onduo - our personalized virtual care platform, which includes connected tools, lifestyle coaching and clinical support; and Debug - our effort to reduce the threat of mosquito-borne diseases by combining machine learning with sterile insect technique. We’re also actively working to combat the spread of COVID-19 through new programs like Healthy at Work

Description

Our mission is to guide and empower Verily to deliver safe and effective health solutions with best-in-class quality practices. As part of Verily’s Quality Team, you will join a team dedicated to supporting Verily’s efforts to meet and exceed quality standards. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is dynamic and evolving and we’re looking for team members to help us build it better, more nimble and flexible while holding a high standard. The Quality Systems team manages key processes and systems that support product development, clinical studies and laboratory science.

As a Quality Systems Data Analyst, you will be the organization's Subject Matter Expert (SME) as it relates to QMS process monitoring, data analysis, dashboards and reporting. As Verily matures and grows, we’re looking to build smarter and more efficient processes, systems and tools. You will drive or assist with a variety of internal gap assessments, quality system implementations and continuous improvement projects supporting the Quality team.

We are looking for a creative problem solver interested in tackling complex and nuanced issues. Verily’s QMS supports compliance to medical device design and development, clinical trial operations, and clinical laboratory regulations and standards in multiple geographies, which creates opportunities to question convention and break down silos.

  • Perform routine quality systems tracking and monitoring to ensure quality processes/records are progressing through their lifecycle in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain periodic metrics for monthly reports, Quality Management Reviews and other quality meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years experience in quality assurance/quality systems roles, preferably in a medical device environment.
  • Demonstrable experience developing reports, dashboards and visual analytics using existing and emerging technologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver quality outputs under minimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications:

  • General knowledge and understanding of Quality Management, Risk Management, regulatory compliance and/or manufacturing operations and processes.
  • Familiar with quality performance/process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, PDSA and Rapid Cycle).
  • Writes clearly and informatively; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; and able to read and interpret written information.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
