We are looking for an experienced Perception Research Engineer: Robot Manipulation to develop and advance our ambidextrous robot manipulation stack. You will join a team of dedicated, supportive, and enthusiastic people to help create the future of manufacturing. Come solve the hardest problems with the best team on the planet!

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and advance motion planning and controls algorithms for our ambidextrous robots
  • Implement and prototype deep learning and multi-view geometric algorithms for object classification, labeling, bounding box drawing, and robot pose estimation
  • Integrate and test with simulated and real industrial robot system
  • Contribute to the robustness and stability of our robotic system by verifying and validating pipelines through hardware-in-the-loop testing   
  • Architect and implement solutions for bin picking in simulation and real robots
  • Design robust and reliable systems to handle variable circumstances

Who You Are

  • BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field
  • Build, Ship, and Iterate products fast and efficiently
  • 2+ years of research and Industry experience in robotics and computer vision
  • 2+ years of experience using multi-threaded programming skills (C++, Python)
  • You have worked with Linux environment
  • Expert in machine perception and mathematical, geometrical, and deep learning-based perception models
  • Experience with ROS
  • Extensive experience with sensor data processing and large-scale point-cloud processing
  • Experience with OpenCV, Open3D, and PCL libraries
  • Able to work as a team player and as an individual contributor
  • Highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic
  • Ability to meet deadlines and commitments in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to details
