1. Role and Responsibilities

As our new Data Engineer Lead, you will:

• Be part of our Data & Analytics team helping us to build a platform that unifies the data and business rules from all our products around the world, using innovative approaches and technologies in the market.

• Technical and career leadership of the data engineering team;
• Lead data engineering projects;
• Technical reference for the team in defining and implementing solutions;
• Prioritization of data demands, negotiating deadlines and delivery;
• Work on the data integration of various platforms and products;
• Contribute to data pipelines development, performance, quality, monitoring, and maintenance;
• Identify opportunities for improvement in our products/business with the use of data;
• Advocate for data engineering best practices inside the team;
• Ensure data lake governance;

Requirements

2. In order to contribute to this role, you have:

• Experience with projects together with the business and product teams
• Experience with agile methods for managing teams and projects;
• Strong knowledge of software development (e.g.: Python, Git and etc);
• Experience with SQL to query data and build ETLs;
• Experience working with data lake and data warehouse, using best practices to structure and store big volumes of data;
• Experience in data pipeline creation/orchestration tools (e.g.: Airflow, Luigi);
• Cloud experience (e.g.: GCP or AWS);
• Advanced or fluent English (Engineering team is a global team and you will have meetings with teams from europe)

3. Big Plus!

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have:

• Experience in team management;
• Experience in CI/CD or DataOps;
• Experience in Infrastructure as code (e.g.: terraform);
• Experience with relational databases (e.g.: PostgreSQL, CloudSQL, RDS);
• Experience working as a data architect (definition, creation and implementation of architectures);
• Experience developing APIs;
• Experience in streaming processing.
