The Financial Analyst role will support the Ops Tech IT (OTIT) organization, building finance and entitlements metrics for the Computer Vision team from the ground up. The Computer Vision team provides advanced image solutions that leverage both automated and semi-automated Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) processing techniques to provide enhanced safety, productivity, and quality controls throughout Amazon’s global operation sites (see Amazon’s recently open sourced Distance Assistant as a good example of their work). The role will partner with the Computer Vision team to build out financial models and entitlements streams to capture the impact and value of the team’s initiatives. OTIT is core and critical to Amazon operations, providing the support that glues the tens of thousands of nodes, warehouses, delivery stations, and air hubs together. OTIT is one of the only Amazon organizations with presence in almost all countries globally & across all business units. This role will regularly interface with senior business leaders and distributed global Finance teams and will be based out of Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities will include:
· Provide financial support to the OTIT Computer Vision team, including regular meetings and presentations to business team Directors.
· Build a best in class financial models to measure entitlements for the computer vision initiatives that the team is driving.
· Own & develop financial analysis models driving operational decisions across OTIT.
· Collaborate with OTIT Computer Vision team leadership to drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives
· Identify issues and enhancements to processes, implementing change in conjunction with Global Finance teams
· Facilitate financial review meetings with key partner business groups
· Coordinate and provide financial inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, operating plans, and project related deep dives.
· Build and maintain high level knowledge across all business areas by staying current on initiatives and challenges/opportunities across the business.
· Prepare financial updates, including relevant analyses versus prior periods and providing forecasts/budgets, examining associated risk/opportunities with respect to technology resources

Basic Qualifications


Basic qualifications:
· Degree In Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
· 5+ years' experience in a large corporate finance environment with heavy emphasis on analytics

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:
· An understanding of SQL would be considered a plus
· Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling
· Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, & opaque environment
· Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills vital
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge or influence senior company leaders
