Responsibilities and Job Duties

  • Gather requirements and generate ideas for the application of quantitative analysis, data science, artificial intelligence approaches.
  • Data analysis, data sources searches, data cleanup and transformation, data point selection, data training set selection/un-biasing, data testing selection.
  • Model development including data relevance and algorithm selection and testing. Solution development, software development.
  • Vendor selection/interaction and development of understanding about 3rd party solutions in the relevant space.
  • Internal customer interaction during the development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment phases.
  • Develop advanced quantitative modules using a variety of programs/software to support predictive assessments.
  • Communicate analytics model behavior/results to business.
  • Carry out technical risk analysis and reliability assessments. Perform complex analyses, including optimization, text analytics, machine learning, social-science modeling, and statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric statistical models, and techniques.
  • Provide recommendations for plans, programs, strategies, policies, and budgets.
  • Design algorithms that require different models/methods to be used together.
  • Drive data quality throughout the organization.
  • Apply strong understanding of data science techniques and libraries to business problems.
  • Direct data science teams to complete all project deliverables.
  • Telecommuting allowed.

Education and Experience Required

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics or related field and 48 months of experience.
