Job Description
To accomplish our mission, we are building an AI and automation platform for home energy infrastructure. Come join our team and ship a great consumer product built on our unique machine learning technology. We have a wide range of interesting technical challenges, a deep stack that spans unsupervised and supervised machine learning, embedded, native mobile, web, and the cloud, and a team of highly curious, collaborative engineers and data scientists who enjoy solving hard problems together. As a Data Software Engineer for the Data Science team, you will help you be a key contributor to maintain and improve our Data Ingestion and Machine Learning pipelines as they grow to 10x and 100x in volumes. You should be:
- Excited about high-volume data and solving the challenges it poses.
- Excited to deep dive to understand and optimize storage and compute characteristics of data pipelines
- Interested in building (or learning how to build) high-availability, performant, and scalable systems.
- Tenacious when tracking down production issues, digging into metrics and logs as needed to run a problem to the ground.
- Curious about seeing ML solutions applied to a novel domain
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years professional data engineering experience
- Experience with Linux, Python, relational databases and AWS
- Great numerical and analytical skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar filed – a Masters is a plis
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
