We believe each moment in sports can change the plan, change the game and change lives. That’s why our mission is to build the world’s most powerful network of sports video and data to empower teams to make every moment count.

How? By hiring people around the world who want to help us support coaches, players, analysts, recruiters, teams, clubs and fans. Hudl customers use our products to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and a lot more. They stay ahead of the game with the latest technology and we help them achieve their goals.

Want to join us?

We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help us bring Hudl’s products to the next level by building more machine learning solutions. AML's focus is to scale Machine Learning (ML) at Hudl and keep improving Hudl products and workflows by integrating Machine Learning into them. AML is generating data by what Hudl knows best - video - and provides automation in a number of applications. We already have a number of  ML models in production powering automation across Hudl and this is only the start of our journey. You will be part of a team currently focused on building ML algorithms with the aim to automatically extract high-quality data from video and images that are generated from Hudl “Focus” cameras. You will have to work with hardware constraints and deliver models that can run on a camera. You will have an impact across a number of projects and enable capabilities only possible through Machine learning.

You Are

  • A Machine Learning Engineer. Have 3+ years experience developing machine learning algorithms end-to-end given hardware constraints, from formulating the problem, doing discovery on state-of-the-art techniques to developing production-ready code. You’ll likely be working with Python, PyTorch and a number of AWS services.
  • Interested in optimizing and deploying ML models. Have experience or interest in learning how to optimize models to be smaller and run faster and to convert them to the right format. You’ll likely be working with TensorRT and DeepStream.
  • Interested in digging into data to solve problems. Systems and processes don’t always work as expected, we need to evaluate data to make sure everything is operating as intended and has the effects we desire.
  • A problem solver. You are able to solve problems with unclear solutions in creative ways.
  • Flexible and excited to learn totally new domains and technologies. Your team will do whatever it takes to solve the problems at a high standard and get an algorithm into production. You see the opportunity in this and are ready to learn something new.
  • Someone who enjoys iterating from prototypes to production systems. It’s not always clear what the best implementation will be and we’ll have a lot of ideas that need to be evaluated. You know how to balance quick iteration with production quality updates, when requirements need to be adjusted, and when to push for more or less time on an experiment.

You Will

  • Build algorithms to solve high-impact computer vision problems.
  • Learn how to build production-ready algorithms and deploy machine learning into Hudl cameras.
  • Collaborate with multiple product teams.
  • Have an impact directly on your users by integrating machine learning into Hudl’s products providing value to coaches and players.

We Will

  • Celebrate work at Hudl retreats. We like to gather our Hudlies from around the world to showcase achievements and strategize for the future.
  • Treat you like an adult. We’re all about a healthy work-life balance. We’ll give you unlimited vacation time and have company-wide timeout days (no meetings allowed).
  • Provide career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Supply you with tools for success. We've invested in our office spaces, designing them with our employees in mind. You’ll have the enriching, flexible environment and powerful hardware you need to do your job well.
  • Support your mental health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program and Employee Resource Groups have you covered.

Diversity at Hudl

Hudl is an equal opportunity employer. We understand the power of a diverse team, celebrate differences and promote inclusive and accessible environments.

To promote Hudlies being their authentic selves and give everyone opportunities for allyship, we offer employee resource groups. These employee-led groups are drawn together by common affinities, passions and life experiences:
