Your Role: Senior Big Data Developer for Cloud Technologies

As Big Data Developer, you lead a team in the design and optimization of data processing algorithms. You are familiar with cloud native technologies and the integration of big data tech into cloud platforms. Above all, you want to contribute to the advancement of data engineering.

Your mission

• You make data useful. You build program code, test and deploy to cloud environments, design and optimize data processing algorithms for clients
• You support your development team with feature implementation and automate testing of data-driven applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
• You use agile workflow to shape the path for how your team’s project will be implemented and demonstrate the quality of the team’s work
• You make a difference as the lead developer improving the output quality of the team

Requirements

What you need

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development of software using Java or a comparable language
• Experience with data ingestion, analysis, integration, and design of big data applications using cloud native technologies like Spark EMR. Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes also good
• Solid fundamentals in computer science (algorithms, data structures, and programming skills in distributed systems) and in agile methodology
• Professional leadership and planning skills; ability to explain technical matters to the team and to communicate in English (other languages such as German, Russian, or Spanish are also good).
