What you will do

The Principal AI Engineer will spearhead the design and implementation of generative AI, and AL/ML solutions for clients. They will serve as the technical lead, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored AI solutions that align with clients' goals and business objectives.

The role of Principal AI Engineer is crucial in driving successful AI/ML initiatives, and it requires a unique combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and client management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with clients and the internal team to design and implement generative AI & AI/ML architectures that meet specific business requirements

• Lead the technical aspects of client engagements, providing expert advice and guidance on AI technology and solution design

• Contribute to the growth of the AI consulting practice by continuously refining the firm's technical methodologies and practices based on the latest AI trends and technologies

• Mentor and guide team members in the delivery of high-quality technical solutions

• Work closely with the Director in VP to align the technical strategy with the firm's business objectives

• Designing the architecture of AI/ML solutions, specifying the technical requirements and overseeing the implementation process. This includes selecting appropriate algorithms, setting up data pipelines, choosing relevant hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations.

• Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop, test, and optimize AI/ML models.

• Ensuring the scalability and maintainability of AI solutions, planning for potential growth or changes in the client's needs.

• Coordinating with other teams such as data engineering, software development, IT, and business units to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing (client) systems and workflows.

Requirements and technical skills

• Bachelor's, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• Experience in AI/ML, data science, or a similar field, with a demonstrated track record of designing and implementing successful AI/ML solutions.

• Prior experience in a leadership or project management role, preferably leading AI/ML projects.

• AI/ML Knowledge: Proficiency in various AI/ML algorithms and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. Knowledge of advanced techniques in machine learning and deep learning.

• Programming: Strong programming skills, particularly in languages commonly used in AI/ML such as Python, R, and Java. Knowledge of ML libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-Learn.

• Data Management: Experience with databases, data processing, and data warehousing solutions. Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL processes, and big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, etc.

• Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their AI/ML services. Understanding of cloud architecture and service deployment.

• Software Engineering: Solid understanding of software development principles, including version control systems (like Git), containerization (like Docker), and CI/CD processes.

• System Design: Experience in designing robust, scalable system architectures. Familiarity with Microservices and API design.

• Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries, such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Matplotlib for presenting data insights.

• Security and Compliance: Understanding of data privacy, security regulations, and ethical considerations in AI/ML.

• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.

• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
