About the role

Underpinned by our SaaS transformation strategy, Fenergo is undergoing an expansion of our Product organisation. Driving Customer and Fenergo value through insights available in our SaaS product is a vital component to our growth strategy. Therefore, we are seeking a Product Operations Data Analyst to become a member of Fenergo’s Product Operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Operations, you will be tasked with exploring the data to experiment with and analyse value hypotheses and support automation once value is proven.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create actionable insights and reporting on user journeys, user behaviours, and long-term trends to identify opportunities to optimise or add value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish the highest business priorities and opportunities by measuring expected reach and impact
  • Design experiments and analyse the results to propose what should launch or not. Learn from and iterate on those experiments by identifying additional opportunities to drive growth and value
  • Work closely with Product engineering on potential optimisation opportunities for analysis and insight generation
  • Communicate results and insights from your analyses to key stakeholders, including Product Leadership
  • Design and development of regular decision-making reports as well as effective visualisation of business trends and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support the implementation or build of product analytics / telemetry tooling and drive continuous improvement in data collection and reporting processes
  • Drive the data governance framework for Product Operations including the creation and monitoring of data quality dashboards, data lineage, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years work experience as a business data analyst with a track record of delivering actionable insights and generating value
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and surfacing business insight from that data.
  • Strong skills in data mining using SQL, Python, R or other languages and understanding of event driven architecture with experience in Cloudwatch, AWS X-Ray and DynamoDB
  • Outcome-driven with a strong curiosity towards the business. Passionate about problem solving and problem finding
  • Proven organizational skills, decisive and with high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated mindset for continuous learning and knowledge transfer

Not critical but advantageous

  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Experience with Product Analytics toolsets (e.g. Mixpanel, Heap)
  • Understanding of SaaS B2B and Customer Lifecycle Management
