The team 
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team partners with some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. This position  
The GTM Intelligence Decision Scientist is a highly motivated self-starter who is responsible for researching, co-designing, and optimizing our GTM data products. You will be solving difficult and non-routine problems by applying analytical methods in novel ways. This includes creating, analyzing and interpreting large and complex data sets, with an emphasis on actionable results. You will also need to collaborate closely with GTM teams, ML Data Scientists, Engineering and other stakeholders to ideate model-based solutions, measure the effectiveness of data products and drive growth and customer success.

This is a business-focused data science role that will influence and shape the design, architecture and roadmap for predictive and prescriptive data products for the GTM teams. The ideal candidate has a rich experience across the GTM domain as a data/decision scientist and data analyst. You will collaborate with a cross functional agile team spanning data science, data engineering, product management, and business experts to collectively drive GTM data products that improve our GTM teams’ successes.

While this role is in a business unit and is not building and deploying ML models, you will be responsible for the research, analysis, and ideation creation of analytical data products. You have a track record of driving successful data product initiatives while balancing the diagnosis and fixing of urgent problems with a thoughtful approach. Your results will enable marketers and sellers to develop valuable, highly effective programs and optimize their activities.
This role requires the ability to deliver in a complex and fast moving organization at global scale. The candidate is deeply analytical with a keen understanding of business processes and programs and the ability to translate data and insights into operational readouts.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director of GTM Intelligence and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Design and perform statistical analyses used to shape and continuously improve the efficiency and impact of GTM data products
  • Responsible for driving and optimizing key performance metrics such as sales conversion, propensity score efficacy, bookings potential, and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to design, research, evaluation, and optimization of our GTM data products
  • Coordinate effective, quantitative strategies directly derived from communication with stakeholders
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of engineers, product managers, data scientists, operations, and engineers
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to make sure they have a good understanding of the GTM data products
  • Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve quality
  • Design experiments that evaluate the effectiveness of data products
  • Develop data preparation processes to consolidate heterogeneous datasets and work around data quality issues
  • Communicate and present strategic insights to management teams and non-technical audiences
  • Develop informative analyses, data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to deliver business insights and ensure consistency and reliability across teams

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related analytical field
  • 8+ years hands on experience in a data-focused role such as product analytics, business analytics, business operations, or business data science
  • Advanced SQL ability
  • Experience with data analysis, research and visualization tools, such as Python, R, Tableau
  • Proficient at defining, applying, and presenting performance metrics
  • Proven track record of applying analytical and statistical methods to tackle real-world problems using big data
  • Experience with experimentation - design (A/B Testing), and analysis

Preferred qualifications

  • Involvement in building data science products for business teams and processes.
  • Basic knowledge of common machine learning and statistics frameworks and concepts.
  • Ability to break down technical concepts into simple terms to present to diverse, technical and non-technical audiences
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $115,800 - $163,575 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
