⚡️ Your mission

The Data Analytics team at Birdie is responsible for converting data into value for our customers and our teams. We do this in a number of ways such as by enabling better decision making, improving operations and efficiencies, building data products, measurably reduce risk and more.

To achieve this we have a multidisciplinary team composed of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts covering the entire data value chain from data ingestion to data exploitation.

🦸‍♀️ How you will contribute

  • Build and lead a growing data analytics team of 5+ people (1 Analytics Engineer, 2 Product Analysts, 2 Commercial Analysts);
  • Partner with our product teams to ensure product decisions are data-driven as we expand our product portfolios and scale our business internationally;
  • Collaborate with the leaders from other key business areas, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to support them in making data-driven decisions;
  • Drive a data-centric, continuous learning culture with your data storytelling expertise, and grow our best practices around reporting quality, data hygiene, and data governance;

Requirements

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if

  • You can demonstrate past experience in a similar role at a previous company;
  • You have successfully scaled data analytics teams (product analyst, commercial analyst, data analytics engineer) within one or multiple SaaS product organisations;
  • You have experience in building out and maintaining data an overall data stack working closely with product, engineering and revenue operations colleagues;
  • You are able to prioritise and build a roadmap for the team focusing on business outcomes;
  • You have a track record of pragmatic decision-making, understanding that perfection is not the goal and rather focusing on solving the right problem at the right time;
  • You have a good knowledge of the ins and outs of coaching & growing distributed teams;
  • You have a results-driven and impact-oriented mindset;
  • You are someone who is inspired by, and seeks to embody our values;
  • You are humble, and you love learning new things and can mentor or coach others;
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

✨ Compensation

The salary package for this role is £100k per annum. We also grant generous stock options to any permanent employee at the end of the probation period. We do adjust salaries based on the cost of living index for employees based outside of the UK.

We are a fully distributed team with Birdie's working across the globe. We organise bi-yearly in-person events and frequent online socials to make sure you can meet up with peers. If you want to come to the office, you're most welcome of course!

🌴 Base holiday

33 days base holiday (25 days + 8 bank holidays) + Christmas eve day off

Birdie closes between Christmas and New Year so you can have some down time with your loved ones. This is in addition to your base holiday!

🎂 Birthday leave

You can take your birthday off when it falls on a weekday! (effective from 1st Jan 2023!)

👼🏽 Parental Leave

Highly favourable parental leave policy; once you have spent twelve consecutive months on our payroll, primary caregivers are entitled to 26 weeks of parental leave at 100% of your usual salary and secondary caregivers are entitled to 12 weeks of parental leave, at 100% of your usual salary.

👵🏻 Pension employer contribution

Birdie contributes 4% of your salary to your pension.
