Why would I want to be a Financial Data Analyst at Metapack? 

Working within the Finance Team, you will be responsible for timely reporting across various key areas of the business including product, revenue and headcount and supporting the FP&A Analyst and Director of Accounting where needed on ad-hoc report requests. You will also have a close connection to the Data Team in Madrid, collaborating on building a new BI data lake for financial and shipping volume data to be used for essential business decision making.  The wider finance team is diverse and talented, with a supportive team culture. As we are now part of the Auctane group, there is a great opportunity to develop and progress within the company beyond the initial six month contracting period.

This position is eligible for full-time home-based remote work.

What would I be doing?

  • Using Power Query, updating the following reports including analysing the result to ensure it is accurate.
    • Daily volume and revenue tracker tool.
    • HR headcount and cost dashboard. 
    • Products per customer dashboard.
    • => The role will be to convert these excel based reports into Looker using SQL.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting of Financial data to help the commercial and strategic decision-making process of senior management.
  • Where needed, helping the Finance department build new reports and/or optimise existing reports.
  • Use the Cognos TM1 financial planning tool for use in reporting mentioned above.
  • Close collaboration with the data team in building a BI data lake.

What key skills and experience do I need?

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Strong Excel and SQL.
  • Proactive and agile with systems.
  • Can think logically and finance savvy.
  • High standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data
  • Good communication / interpersonal skills
  • Systems – experience using Cognos TM1 or other FP&A reporting tool and Looker.
