Control Risks is looking for a Data Analyst to support our client’s Fraud & Piracy program. This position will work to build out data programs to help with the collection of, and dissemination of data for the team.

The Fraud and Anti-Piracy team works with a Fortune 50 client of ours to analyze and understand this company’s supply chain concerns as it pertains to the sale of physical devices and stopping any bad actors. This position will work closely with the client to help better understand where potential concerns are and how to get ahead of the issues to stop them.


  • Help build data pipelines to gather and sort large amounts of disparate data to share with the Data Science team.
  • Building SOPs for gathering data and searching specific systems.
  • Regular control monitoring report resolutions.
  • Trade quality control reviews and enhancements.
  • Review and analyze potential sanctions hits while maintaining compliance requirements.
  • Presenting gathered data and research.
  • Use individual problem-solving and analytical skills to authenticate customers.
  • Operational duties as required.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in Data Analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: SQL, Python, etc.
  • Familiar with ETL and other data extraction processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience presenting information to a large audience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in building map visualizations with Tableau or other GIS software.
  • Experience assessing data integrity (completeness, accuracy, explaining impact of data integrity on decisions/assumptions).
  • Experience examining and evaluating processes and information systems, recommending controls to ensure reliability and data integrity.
