Data Analyst

The ideal candidate will bring a strong business mindset for approaching problems and have technical skills in data extraction and manipulation. This is the perfect opportunity for someone to gain valuable knowledge and drive decisions at a high-growth, mobile commerce company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver valuable data-driven insights to the Company that help management make more effective decisions and define more effective strategies for the business operations.
• Duties include: monitor and analyze existing metrics and partner with internal team members to identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop business metrics and performance indicators (KPI) to evaluate business performance
• Understand data and analytics needs of business partners and create solutions to address those needs on a continual basis
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends and insights of seller strategies, and provide recommendations, opportunity for improvement to the leadership team
• Ensure the development of an automated reporting process that covers metrics as well as financial results, connect the two in an appropriate and accurate manner and work with engineering team to get the automation implemented
• Work with cross-functional team and develop strong collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance or a related field and two years of experience in each of the following: business analysis and KPI reporting; SQL, Looker or similar visualization tool; MS Excel, including writing advanced excel formulas and using conditional, vlookups/hlookups, sorting and filtering, array formulas, and VBA macros, pivot reporting, and conditional formatting; R, Python, and statistical analysis; Looker or Tableau; and gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.
