POSITION SUMMARY


MorphWorks is seeking a motivated, career, and client-oriented Software Development Data Integration Lead to join our team to provide unparalleled support to multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with multiple federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Leading the team of Software Developers as the Product Owner of a Data Integration Project.
  • Create tasks for Sprints and Agile Program Increment Planning in Jira for the team based on known backlog, feedback from Agencies, application releases, and project priorities.
  • Drive release cycle with the Release Management team, ensure code is documented, conduct code reviews, and prepare the code package in repositories (SVN, GIT, SharePoint).
  • Manage deployment of code to Development Labs and coordinate development and schedules with the Dashboard development team.
  • Lead code reviews and validate release completeness
  • Document and communicate features/requirements with the Release and Test teams
  • Communicate and coordinate the development and release of software hotfixes.
  • Participate in meetings to understand Customer and Operation use and issues of the software product
  • Participate in Change Control Board meetings and provide votes
  • Support Developers with best implementation methods based on requirements and future maintenance
  • Assist developers by removing obstacles, or escalating to the management
  • Participate and present challenges to Engineering and Architecture Review Board (EARB)
  • Develop connector software on Windows Red Hat Fuse using Java, Blueprint XML, XSLT, Camel and SQL libraries which ingests cybersecurity data from security sensors to a SQL Server Database for display on a Dashboard.
  • Create test plans to validate the ingest of software functionality.
  • Interpret and implement functional requirements between the sensors and the dashboard.
  • Provide support to Test and Operations teams throughout the release cycle.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in managing Software Development through its lifecycle from development, documentation, test, and maintenance
  • Experience leading a team with Scrum or SAFe Agile Methodology using JIRA
  • Ability to manage the amount of coding features to software release cycles
  • Ability to talk to the developers about their code as well as summarize to management and customers how your teams’ product works and upcoming software features
  • Knowledge and awareness of:
  • Common software data file formats (e.g., JSON, XML, and CSV)
  • SQL SERVER database design, programming, tuning, writing SQL queries/procedures
  • API connections and flat files ingest to parse JSON and CSV data for software connectors
  • Use of code repositories and release management and build tools (e.g., Visual Studio, GIT, SVN)
  • Secure coding practices and protection of data using encryption (e.g., Certificates, TLS Connections)
  • Experience in Windows development environments
  • Excellent communication, and relationship skills to articulate advanced technical topics and build consensus among clients and technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborations skills working in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adhere to defined processes & procedures, and suggest improvements
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong technical documentation skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry such as DHS or DoD Cybersecurity programs and compliance
  • Knowledge of data integration and data transfer through on-premises and Cloud resources
  • Overall strong background in systems engineering, security engineering, architecting, enterprise integration, and interoperability in a complex systems environment
  • Understanding of technical, operational, and management issues related to design, development, and deployment of complex and distributed systems

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background investigation
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)
