Data Analyst

Your New Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Data Analyst to join our Innovation Team in the Liverpool Matchworks Office. This Role offers a Hybrid working model.

The purpose of the Business Data Analyst to work with colleagues across Amey Business Services (ABS) to understand their problems and/or needs, identifying areas of opportunity for continuous improvement and where appropriate, design and deliver innovative solutions while ensuring that all applicable standards and processes are adhered to.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, based on Monday – Friday.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, creating and implementing solutions primarily utilising Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps/Power Automate) and a mix of SQL and SharePoint back-end data sources.
• Identifying any training needs relating to delivered solutions
• Production of end-user guidance, documentation, etc for delivered solutions
• On-going maintenance and upkeep of Change Management and Version Control records for delivered solutions
• Producing daily/weekly/monthly/periodic reports showing performance against targets
• Designing and implementation of appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for ABS
• Advocate and facilitate a mindset that encompasses fact-based decision making and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with an ability to translate complex information in a way that is accessible and easily understood
• Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, advice, facilitation of discussion, and resolution of conflict to establish trust, credibility, and respect

We want to hear from you if you have:

• Ability to work with colleagues to discuss and understand their real-world requirements/problems, and to be able to propose solutions in a non-technical manner.
• Data management skills, including database design.
• Ability to identify the right tool to solve business requirements/problems - and which requirements/problems cannot be solved by identified tools.
• Experience of good security and compliance practice.
• Practical experience of designing great user interfaces.
• Broad knowledge of the wider Microsoft 365 suite with specific focus on SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation, both technical (logic diagrams, process diagrams, flow diagrams) and end-user guides, manuals, etc.

Experience

• Experience of developing apps and flows using the full range of Power Platform.
• In-depth experience of Microsoft Excel, both application and VBA coding.
• Experience in working in, or on behalf of public sector organisations would be advantageous.
• Experience in training or coaching in use of software.
• Experience of the full Microsoft 365 suite.
