The Opportunity

The Data and Analytics (DNA) team at Lendi group is a growing family of diverse data enthusiasts who have been achieving great results with collaboration, passion, and grit. The Data Science team is one of the smaller teams within the DNA team. We believe in fail fast and learn quick and this is the mindset that allows for a satisfying career growth for all the team members.

 

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work on some of the most intriguing challenges that Lendi Group faces. You will be tasked to solve these challenges using advanced analytics, machine learning, deep learning, and broader data science techniques in an agile environment. You will not only develop the models but will also be instrumental in end-to-end solution creation, including the productionisation, automation, and implementation of these models in the respective business unit. So, we are not looking for a lone wolf, we are looking for a team player who thrives working with others – within the DNA team and across a broad breadth of stakeholders.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will take on business problems which have a direct impact on customers and the business. These problems include:

  • Personalisation
  • Growth and retention
  • Predictive Customer Lifetime Sales
  • Efficiency improvement of our sales channels
  • And many more…

 

While solving these problems, you will: 

  • Work with large datasets to gain insights, train predictive models and measure results
  • Be involved in the full product life cycle
  • Develop scalable and innovative ML solutions
  • Collaborate with the data team, reviewing solutions, sharing knowledge, and improving coding standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gain a complete understanding of the problem to be solved and to implement the models to achieve desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and budget
  • Ensure documentation of the proposed solutions
 

About you

Passionate about data science, machine learning, deep learning, you are a true problem solver who is always learning and growing. A true team player, you believe in collaboration and helping out your team members.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related working experience, e.g., Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms and demonstrable expertise in their mathematical fundamentals
  • Experience in the full lifecycle of developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in the cloud, such as Sagemaker and AWS
  • Demonstrated experience writing high-quality Python code (also open to candidates who have strong R, Scala or Java experience with openness to learn Python)
  • Expertise in data visualisation libraries and products (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Experience in DevOps environment (e.g., Git)
  • Very detail oriented is expected to ensure a high level of quality in report, data, and model analysis
  • Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand where and when different models or analyses should be used and can create value.
