Senior Data Scientist

FUGA is looking for a seasoned Data Scientist with music industry experience to lead our advanced data-insights efforts using a treasure-trove of music consumption and royalties data. This role requires a strong technical background in software engineering as well as specialised analysis and modelling skills. The main objectives of this role are to discover actionable insights and build running models for supporting and enhancing business and technical decisions across our Trends, Royalty, Marketing Analytics and Operations teams, to name a few.

Requirements

A successful applicant for this role will:

• Minimally hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science

• Be a self-starter, well-organised, methodical and willing to collaborate with multiple teams

• Be able to build, deploy, test and debug entire software systems and data pipelines

• Have excellent communication and data visualisation skills

• Have solid experience with exploratory analysis, developing ML and AI models from ideation to production and comfortable working with multiple complex data sources of significant volume

• Be proficient with Unix-based operating systems, Python, Apache Spark and Airflow, Kubernetes and Docker, Github, CI-CD practices and unit testing

• Have experience with cloud-based services (preferably with Google Cloud Platform)

• Have a keen interest in the music domain
