The Department for Work and Pensions is seeking a Machine Learning DevOps – Infrastructure Architect to join their team. This role is mostly remote working with office work in London 2 days/week. Some travel may be needed within the UK as and when required.

Initial contracts will run for 12 months and offer a rate up to £780/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. Applicants require active DV clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.

The Role

This work is essential to ensure technical integration CANDL capabilities (internal detect and respond capability building for the Security Monitoring Team) and onboarding of data to enable the Personnel Security Team to better respond to personnel security issues. The role holder will use their skills in the following technologies:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Machine Learning techniques for anomaly detection using AWS Sagemaker
  • Terraform and Docker for provisioning environments for testing
  • Design and build of secure environments for algorithm testing
  • Import of test harness data and collection of results

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
