The Marketing Team
The Ruggable Marketing Team, collaborative, dynamic and on track to meet clear growth targets. Working closely with the Design, Operations, and Executive teams, we aim to exceed revenue targets, elevate our brand status and broaden our customer appeal. We learn fast to adapt to the ever-changing e-commerce landscape.
Job Summary
As a Marketing Data Engineer, you will partner with marketing, analytics and engineering teams to design, build and maintain ease of use data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators. Collaborating across disciplines, you will identify internal/external data sources to design table structure, define ETL strategy and automated QA checks, and implement scalable ETL solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, build and maintain critical data pipelines to ensure highly accurate and reliable business reporting
- Maintain a successful track record of monitoring daily execution, diagnosing and logging issues, and fixing business critical pipelines to ensure SLAs are met with internal stakeholders
- Make ETL/ELT code improvements to automate pipeline efficiency and data quality
- Own data import/export pipelines and incorporate into existing workflows to enable reporting and optimization efforts
- Contribute to marketing data insights strategy and development
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases through sprints
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years experience in a data engineering/BI/data analysis role supporting marketing or sales organizations (ecommerce, digital, tech is a plus)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred) and an understanding of data related tooling
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and foundations (ETL/ELT, Batch/Streaming, Scalable Systems, Data Modeling)
- 2+ years of experience in SQL and Python
- Experience implementing and supporting operational data stores, data warehouses, and data marts
- Experience or exposure to modern data engineering tools (Airflow, DBT, Spark)
